Finished! Wasted an hour on the absolute final battle since I forgot key bits of how to win (I initially went medieval against the right bit before finding that I had to defeat its companions to lower its defense and expedite the process), but I won in the end. Review to follow eventually.

I finished the Black Omen, the chain of Lavos' exterior fights, and have access to the interior now. I'll probably beat this baby next time I pick up the game.

Got Crono back and am now going through the Black Omen. Unfortunately missed out on Fiona's sidequest, which had necessitated I tell someone in the floating kingdom to plant a speed. Ah well.

Cleared the volcano island and am back in the present.

I'm now in the southern portion of the Twin Towers after a bunch of story stuff in the center of the towers themselves.

Beat the Son of the Sun boss in the future (the Barrier spell and those items that third magic damage really helped) and got the Moon Stone, going to prehistoric times to put it into the shrine. It gets stolen in 1000 A.D., and I know how to get it back, but I can't seem to trigger the actions necessary to get the spicy jerky ( Read more... )

Tried battling the Son of Sun in the future to get the Moon Stone, but got slaughtered. I may have had some Red Vests to protect against fire, but I think I accidentally sold them. Thus, I went to the Geno Dome and beat the bosses there. I have Magus' skill that can increase magic defense and a dozen that can do the same, so I'll give ( Read more... )
